Air conditioners are increasingly being used to heat a space as well. This can reduce a home's gas consumption or allow it to be heated entirely electrically. LG Climate introduces a new unit with a dual-blow system. The Dualcool Premium Deluxe is the new model from the Korean company, now available in the Dutch market. The models are available at Ventilationland at very competitive prices, with capacities ranging from 2.5 to 6.6 kW, and can be combined with both Single and Multi Split outdoor units.
How does the dual-blow system work?
The air-to-air heat pump features a dual-blow system. When the so-called Soft Air mode is activated, the lower blower system closes its louver. This quickly ensures optimal temperature control and a soft, indirect airflow, where the user does not feel the temperature stream. With the other blower system, the classic variant, the air conditioner directs warm or cool air in different directions for quick and effective temperature control. The two independent blades help extend the airflow range up to 22 meters, which LG claims improves the performance of its predecessors by 22 percent.
Presence Detection
Also new is the presence detection feature, which detects the distance between the indoor unit and the occupants in the room, adjusting the airflow mode (direct or indirect) accordingly. Users can customize the sensor settings so that the air conditioner – depending on the proximity to the indoor unit – produces a direct, indirect, or strong airflow. If no one is present, the device can switch to eco mode.
Very High Efficiency
The new air conditioner is equipped with the Dual Inverter Heat Pump Compressor and smart energy management features that help reduce indoor climate control costs. The new model has an A+++ European Energy-related Product (ErP) classification: it offers a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) of 9.5 for cooling and a SCOP (Seasonal Coefficient of Performance) of 5.1 for heating throughout the year. New Features
With the help of a kW manager, you can limit energy consumption. Additionally, energy usage can be monitored in real-time using the ThinQ app. Window opening detection can also prevent energy waste by activating the energy-saving mode when the temperature suddenly rises or drops. The Auto Cleaning function automatically dries the inside of the air conditioner. This improves hygiene by removing moisture and preventing mold formation. The Freeze Cleaning functionality defrosts the heat exchanger during colder periods of the year to keep the air conditioner clean and wash away bacteria, dust, dirt, and odor-causing contaminants.
