Smartzone 15RF - HRC zone control set 160mm

The SmartZone 15RF consists of two dampers which are connected to the supply air ducts of both zones of the mechanical Orcon ventilation unit. The RF15 control determines in which zone the ventilation takes place. The supplied valves close the air supply to a zone as desired. Smart CO2 sensors placed in the living room and bedroom, for example, determine how much ventilation is required. Per zone, at least one CO2 sensor must be connected to the zone valve that is connected to the relevant zone.

Ventilation settings

The zone control unit consists of 4 stages, stage 1, 2, 3 and an automatic stage. During automatic mode, the air quality is assessed based on the CO2 meters, after which the control module automatically controls the ventilation flow rate.

During stage 1, both dampers are fully opened and minimum ventilation takes place. During speed 2, the room is ventilated for 12 hours at a medium-high setting. When one zone is set to stage 2, one damper is fully opened and one remains partially closed. Setting 2 can also be used as a night mode in, for example, bedrooms where no CO2 sensor is installed. At stage 3, maximum ventilation takes place whereby both valves are opened. Mode 3 is active for one hour after which the air supply switches to automatic mode. Position 3 is best used while showering or cooking, for example.

Compatibility

The Orcon zone control is only suitable for Orcon HRC balance fans and Orcon CO2 sensors manufactured in 2021 or later. Supported models include the HRC 350 Ventiflow and HRC 450 Ventiflow.

Connection

The connection consists of a supplied 5 volt power supply that is connected to a 230 volt 50/60 Hz socket.
