HomEvap MVHR Combi Comfort

The HomEvap Combi Comfort (HEPCC) consists of both the HomEvap MVHR humidifier and the HomEvap MVHR cooler. The combination of these two HomEvap products ensures optimal humidity in winter and perfect air temperature in summer through a cooling process. The HomEvap Combi Comfort is the ideal two-in-one solution for creating an optimal indoor climate in combination with your heat recovery system.

HomEvap Combi Comfort humidification

The HomEvap MVHR humidifier (HEPH) is compatible with any MVHR system. The humidifier is connected to the supply duct on the house side immediately after the MVHR system. When the humidity content is too low, the humidifier will be activated to humidify the supplied air. A maximum efficiency of 78% can be achieved. The efficiency depends on the setting on the Hedis control. The HomEvap MVHR humidifier is connected directly to your water supply and uses a maximum of five litres of water per hour.

The humidifier alleviates problems such as dried out or irritated mucous membranes in the nose and throat, dry, burning, stinging eyes (irritating contact lenses), feeling cold at normal temperatures, dry cough and/or ticklish throat, headache and/or tiredness, increased risk of infection, difficulty concentrating, reduced resistance and chapped lips.

HomEvap Combi Comfort cooling

The HomEvap cooler (HEPC) can also be mounted on any MVRH system on the return air in the home. The return air is cooled by the humidified matrix in the HomEvap cooler before passing through a LegioSafe legionella filter. This creates indirect cooling: the cooled air passes through the heat exchanger, which then functions as a cold exchanger in the summer months. The Combi-Comfort also functions as direct cooling. With direct cooling, the air is cooled by the HomEvap humidifier. This comes into effect when the outside temperature is perceived as too hot and the desired temperature is lower than the temperature in the home.

Advantages of the HomEvap MVHR cooler

Adiabatic cooling: of course!
Adiabatic cooling: of course!
Adiabatic cooling, or evaporative cooling, is an effective way of cooling. The air inside is cooled by evaporating water. It is a more energy-efficient and sustainable alternative to regular air conditioning. Depending on the airflow, this way of cooling is up to 80% more efficient and has been used for centuries. In this blog, we explain adiabatic cooling and why it is also an effective way of cooling at home.
