Ionisation is an air purification technique in which negatively charged ions change the charge of positively charged ions (harmful particles). In an air cleaner with ionisation, negative ions are created in the air cleaner and these attach themselves to the harmful particles. With bipolar ionisation, negative and positive particles are blown into the air. As a result, the air is not cleaned in the device, but in the air itself, which results in a higher purification level.
