Ionisation air purifiers
Ionisation is an air purification technique in which negatively charged ions change the charge of positively charged ions (harmful particles). In an air cleaner with ionisation, negative ions are created in the air cleaner and these attach themselves to the harmful particles. With bipolar ionisation, negative and positive particles are blown into the air. As a result, the air is not cleaned in the device, but in the air itself, which results in a higher purification level.

Ionisation or bipolar ionisation?
Ionisation is a proven technique for purifying air. Everywhere in our air, there are harmful particles that are mainly positively charged. Negatively charged ions are important for clean ambient air and can be found in high concentrations in natural areas.
When ionising, the device creates negatively charged particles, which then bond to the positively charged, harmful particles. This neutralises the particles and renders them harmless and they become heavy, so that they fall down and we no longer breathe them in. The air is cleaned in the device itself.
With bipolar ionisation, negatively and positively charged particles are created and shot into the air. The air is not cleaned in the device but in the air itself. They therefore have a higher purification level than comparable devices. Read more about ionisation.
